House cont.

New fridge, check! New stove, check! Ready to rip out half of the kitchen, um, no! I have to get a new breaker panel and rewire the half of the kitchen that the stove and fridge is going on too. So, Melissa is dying to use the new stove. I have to admit, we have never had appliances this nice or neat! I told her to get what she wanted and she did. Even though it's gonna be a lot of work I look forward to getting them installed for her.

  1. Scott, I was scanning through your posts because I'm genuinely interested in the things you have to say. I had to stop here and make a comment. Your last statement in this post says you look forward to getting them installed for her. As a wife, I want you (and any other husband who reads this) to know that one statement builds strength in a woman's heart. Yes, work is work and it must be done. It's not always easy to enjoy that work either, yet it must be done. When our outlook on the job ahead is positive, and our purpose is to give to someone else, that makes the work no longer a job...but a service. A wife knowing her husband loves her and CHOOSES to serve her builds up her love for him, and in turn strengthens their relationship----because that simple attitude difference gave God an opportunity to be a part of the relationship. Thank you for thinking the way you did when you wrote this post.
